GetBrent

Where can a UK business rent out equipment and vehicles online?

A small number of online marketplaces let UK owners list equipment or vehicles for other people to rent, as an alternative to a traditional hire shop. Some cover general tools and equipment, such as Fat Llama (rebranded Hygglo in November 2025), while others, such as Hiyacar and Turo, focus specifically on peer-to-peer car rental. Not every platform once active in the UK is still running: Getaround suspended its UK carsharing service in April 2024 and Karshare ceased trading, and Facebook does not publish a dedicated rentals product for equipment or vehicles in the UK, so all three are left out below.
