What licence do I need to drive a specialist vehicle?
Licence requirements depend on the vehicle's weight. Vehicles up to 3,500 kg (3.5 tonnes) gross vehicle weight can be driven on a standard category B licence. Vehicles between 3.5-7.5 tonnes require a C1 licence. For anything heavier, a full HGV (category C or CE) licence is required. Shoreline Interboat will advise on licence requirements when you enquire.
Is insurance included in the hire price?
Specialist vehicles hired from Shoreline Interboat include third-party insurance as standard. Comprehensive insurance - covering the vehicle itself - is usually an optional extra. Confirm coverage details before hire.
