What size trailer do I need?
TIP Grays stock a range of trailer sizes. As a guide: a 6x4 ft trailer suits garden waste and light loads; 8x5 ft covers most DIY jobs; 10x6 ft and above is suited to plant machinery and vehicles. Contact TIP Grays to confirm availability and dimensions.
Can I hire a trailer for just one day?
Yes - TIP Grays offers daily hire. Weekend (Friday to Monday) and weekly rates are also available and often more economical if you need longer. Check with TIP Grays directly for current pricing.
What licence do I need to drive a specialist vehicle?
Licence requirements depend on the vehicle's weight. Vehicles up to 3,500 kg (3.5 tonnes) gross vehicle weight can be driven on a standard category B licence. Vehicles between 3.5-7.5 tonnes require a C1 licence. For anything heavier, a full HGV (category C or CE) licence is required. TIP Grays will advise on licence requirements when you enquire.
